Welcome to our affiliate program terms and conditions.

Our affiliate program is based on the same values that we have built our business on: trust, transparency, and fairness. And, we want to work with partners who share these values, and use their influence for good and help make the world a better place.

In order to participate in our affiliate program, you must agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. You will be transparent with your customers about your relationship with us.

2. You will be fair in your dealings with us and with your customers.

3. You will not engage in any deceptive or misleading practices.

4. You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Affiliate websites

You may not make a website that looks like ours or one that would make people think you work for us. You may not say you work for us on your resume, LinkedIn, or other social networking sites. We have the right to cancel your account if we think your website is not appropriate, including if it shows things like sex, violence, or illegal activities; has bad words; or goes against what we stand for.

Promotion & Advertising

You are not allowed to offer incentives, like cash, points, prizes, contest entries, etc. to users to try and make the program work better. And, you are not allowed to use Emberly’s domains in the URL of any keyword-based pay-per-click campaign on search engines.

Spamming

It is our policy that affiliates may not spam. This is ethically wrong and it also breaks the law in many jurisdictions. We believe it’s right to respect people's time and boundaries.

Spamming is the act of sending unsolicited emails, messages, or other communications with the intent to promote a product or service. Spamming is unethical because it is a form of marketing that is intrusive and annoying, and it often includes false or misleading information.

If we find you spamming, we’ll terminate your affiliate account.

Commission payout

You receive a 30% recurring commission for paid signups of new users you refer to Emberly products with your unique Affiliate link, or from a shared map.

If the person you refer changes their subscription plan or the number of licenses they have, the amount of money you make will change too. For example, if they upgrade to a better plan, you will make more money.

There is no time limit for how long you will receive commissions from a user.

Payments of commissions are made in USD. You can track your commissions in Emberly’s affiliate dashboard and may request a payout of your commission as soon as an accumulated commission of $300 USD has been reached. We handle payouts exclusively via PayPal.

You can only be an affiliate partner if you have a premium subscription for Emberly. If you don’t have a premium plan, you will not receive new subscribers and commission from your existing premium subscribers.

If we or you terminate our partnership, any balance you have will be forfeited, and you will lose access to all affiliate features. However, we will only terminate our partnership if we think you act in bad faith, and ruin things for Emberly, our users, or people in general.

Emberly’s promise and right

We believe in doing right by you, so we will do everything in our power to make things smooth and easy for you. However, we need certain rights to make sure we have the flexibility to change things for the better in the future.

That said, we reserve the right to:

• Change or stop the commission system at any time. If we do make any major changes, we promise to give you at least one month's notice.

• Have as many partners as we want. In short, we don’t accept any exclusive partners.

• End any affiliate partnership, or the affiliate program at any time, without needing to give a reason.
